Profile
Profile:
Hello, I’m Naoko Suito, a Health Food Master and an International Doctor in Traditional Chinese Medicine based in Hiroshima, Japan. I’ve been studying and practicing Yakuzen, TCM food therapy, for a decade.
TCM is neither outdated nor unscientific. It is just different. We see and access the body from different aspects. It works but it’s not that TCM gets you a miracle pill (is there such a thing?). However, once you start practice, you will find how different you are from 3 months ago, a half year ago or a year ago. Living and eating according to your body constitution, your environment or your age brings you total balance and wellness in your life.
So I’m here for you to teach this ancient wisdom! I will inform you what food you should choose and how you cook to improve your health and well-being thoroughly.

This is my third year in Professor Mizuto's medicinal cuisine class. I'm the oldest in the class and tend to be a drag, but the professor listens to my physical condition and gives me accurate advice on what to watch out for in my daily meals. He's amazed to see me as if I'm hearing it for the first time, even though he's taught me several times before, but he patiently and carefully explains things to me. Professor Mizuto passed the international Chinese medicine doctor qualification exam with the highest score, but he doesn't show any sign of it and is a wonderful person who doesn't act arrogant. I'm grateful for the professor's patience and enjoy the monthly class. I hope that medicinal cuisine will become more widespread for the health of myself and my family.
Medicinal Food Classroom Mr. T
Mr. F
My only good point was my health, but just as I turned 60 and felt that I could no longer rely on my immune system, my husband was diagnosed with an illness. As I reflected on my daily lifestyle habits, I discovered medicinal foods and learned that humans are part of nature and that prevention is important. His lectures are very deep, and no matter how many times I attend them, I always learn something new.
I am still just beginning to learn about herbal medicine, but I have a strong desire to continue learning.
When you hear about a herbal medicine class, you might think it sounds intimidating and somehow far removed from your own lifestyle, but in Professor Mizuto's herbal medicine class, the teacher explains difficult Chinese medicine terminology in an easy-to-understand manner in a friendly, cheerful and easy-to-talk-to atmosphere.
Not only does the teacher have a deep knowledge of medicinal foods, but he is also fluent in Chinese (and English), so he always brings new medicinal foods to my attention, and no matter how many times I take the class, it's always fresh and interesting, and I'm drawn to the charm of medicinal foods. I've become able to use medicinal foods in my daily life, and my days have become more enjoyable.
